Yay,Gertrude!
I planned to go in reverse chronological order, but I couldn't figure out what to write for the cemetery scene or the closet scene, so I got really frustrated and didn't do anything for two days.

The last little bit for this exploration of Ophelia's death is the one that most people seem to like the most - the idea that Gertrude was there and saw the whole thing. This has a gentle kind reason for her to know what she does and it's my personal favorite of the set.

For days two through four, I will explore the sixteen lines in which Gertrude speaks of Ophelia's death. This gives many readers trouble because it's so detailed - she even knows what flowers she wore when she died. Obviously, they decide, it's because Gertrude was there; maybe she killed Ophelia.

It's Friday, which means it's day one of "We Love the Women That Fandom Hates" I'm doing Gertrude because she's pretty damn awesome. Half the fans think she must have killed her husband and many people are convinced she's a slut.
